CHRISTIAN SOCIAL PRINCIPLES AND CONDUCT
A study by Glen Marshall

If a group of people, an organization, a church or a nation say and claim that they are Christian, then they need to be following the principles and conducting their lives by the guidelines from God so that they are the proper example’s and God’s Ambassador’s.  Lets go through the principles and guidelines and see how claimed Christians compare.

God gave the basic guidelines by calling out for mankind to observe the 10 Commandments (Ex20:1-17, Deu4:13, Deu5:6-22,Luke18:20).  Jesus added details to the basic outlined commandments and said that they would be around forever (Matt5:17-48).

Nothing before God> Most people run their life economically.
No idolatry>A lot of churches use physical things in worship.
Take God’s name in vain> A lot of people give God a last name, “God Damn”.
Observe the Sabbath> Most churches observe any day but the Sabbath.
Honor our parents> Some people ignore their parents.
Do not murder> We have 25% of all babies aborted plus others that get killed.
Don’t even be angry> It is so common that it is depicted in entertainment.
Even love your enemies> Why would we go to war then.
Do not commit adultery> 40 to 60% of marriages end in divorce.
Don’t even lust>Pornography is some current common entertainment.
Do not steal> This happens a lot in society.
Do not lie>A common trait also is untruthfulness in society.
Do not swear> A requirement in the courts.
Do not covet others things>This is a personal trait that God knows about in a person.

 A Christian should exhibit love as the sign they are Christ’s (John13:34-35) and the love should be complete (John15:9-17) and intense “agape” (John21:15-17). Other people should be able to see it in a Christian (Luke10:25-37, Roms14:1-13, Roms15:1-3,  I John3:16-19, I John4:17-21,Eph5:1-5, Matt25:31-46, Gal5:13-14, Hebs10:24, I Thess3:12, Phil1:9).

 A Christian should conduct their life as if they are a great servant (Col4:1,Col3:24). They should be submissive (I Peter5:5-6, Eph4:1-2, Matt5:5,I  Peter2:13-17,Roms13:7, I Peter2:18, Jam4:7-10). Be obedient (Titus2:9, I Corth7:19, Eph6:5-8, Matt7:21-23). Be trustworthy (Psalm15:1-5,Deu24:14,Lev19:13,Matt25:14-30,Prov6:16-19). Have perseverance (Luke18:1-8, Matt18:21-22, Jam1:12). Be tactful (Titus3:2,II Tim2:23-24, Jam1:19-20, Roms12:18). Represent your master (I Peter2:12, I Peter2:21, I John2:6). Be devoted to master and be his friend (John13:34-35, John15:14-15, Gal3:28-29, Jam2:23).
