DISPLAY AN AWESOME TRAIT BY BEING A PEACEMAKER
A study by Glen Marshall

This is a sorry world that we live in. The history of man is written in wars for the most part. Our local news is filled each day with scenes of anger, strife, violence and bloodshed. Mankind does not know the way of peace (Isa59:1-8,Jere9:8,Rom3:10-18) and so it is a good thing to pray for God’s kingdom (Matt6:10).

Lets cover the subject of being a peacemaker so we can put it into practice and help guarantee our entry into God’s family (Matt5:9). Being a true Christian will make a person different, but we are to always be real peacemakers (Matt10:34-39, Rom12:18, Psalm34:14, I Peter3:8-15).

People should see this standard, especially in our dealings with our brothers and sisters in Christ (Prov 6:19, Psalm 133:1, Mark 9:50, I Thess 5:13, Col 3:15, Matt 5:21-24,Matt 18:15-17, I Cor 6:7, Matt 18:21-22).

Even any person in the world should experience a peaceful direction from us (Heb12:14, Rom14:19, Jam 3:17-18, I Cor 7:10-16, Prov 16:7).

Lets go into the details to understand how we can always be peacemakers in our lives. We need to have peace flow into and thru us from God (Rom 8:6-9, I Cor 14:33, John14:27,II Thess 3:16, Phi l4:7-9, Gal 5:22-26, II Cor 13:11).

At the same time we need to put aside the carnal qualities of man (Prov 15:18, Jam 1:19-20).

Here are peacekeeping skills that can be used to defuse anger (Prov 25:28, Prov 19:11, Prov15:1, Psalm 119:165, Matt 5:38-41,  II Tim 2:23-26, Titus 3:2).

We need to make a conscience effort to not allow the attitudes of the world to draw us in (Jam 4:1-12, Prov 13:10, Prov 20:3, Prov 28:25).

All of our efforts expand in this pursuit and will carry over into the next world and then on and on forever (Rev14:13,Isa9:6-7).
